On April 1, 2014, the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) underwent Devolution. This initiative transferred responsibility for the management of public land, water, and resources in the Northwest Territories from the Government of Canada to the GNWT.
As part of this change, the Northwest Territories Geoscience Office (NTGO) became a division of the GNWT Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment. All NTGO staff became GNWT employees and the C.S. Lord Building was transferred to the GNWT.
What does this mean for our clients? On the surface, not much. You will find the same people at the same location, and all our email addresses will remain the same. The most noticeable changes are to our phone numbers and to a few job titles. Click on the Contact Us link above for our new contact information.
For more information on Devolution, visit the GNWT's Devolution website.
The Northwest Territories Geoscience Office (NTGO), a Division of the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment, Government of the Northwest Territories, advances geoscience knowledge of the Northwest Territories for the benefit of Northerners and all Canadians. We do this through the delivery of geoscience research, analysis of mineral and petroleum resources, and by offering excellence in digital data management.
