The Wecho River Project is supporting a M.Sc. thesis study by Sara Buse at Carleton University under the supervision of Dr. Brian Cousens. Sara’s thesis is focusing on the origin and evolution of granitoid rocks in the study area. This will be accomplished through major, trace, and isotope geochemistry, and will help delineate what role pre-2.8 Ga basement rocks had to play in the evolution of the area.
