A Geochemical Study of Diamond Indicator Minerals from the NWT Interior Platform
Stéphane Poitras’ presentation demonstrated a solid scientific understanding of his field of study combined with impressive results at an early stage of his program. The importance of his work cannot be understated as it may play a crucial role in extending the reach of the economic growth and prosperity associated with diamond exploration to a greater part of the Northwest Territories.
Poster: Maya LaGrange, University of Alberta
Sedimentology and Ichnology of the Mixed Carbonate and Siliciclastic Beds of the Mount Clark Formation at Dodo Canyon, Mackenzie Mountains, NT
Maya LaGrange’s poster presentation stood out with exceptional scientific clarity and attention to details. Her undergraduate work achieved a level typically reserved to the top quartile of graduate students. Her research will assist in the construction of a high resolution depositional model for the complete Cambrian succession present at Dodo Canyon, Mackenzie Mountains, Northwest Territories.
