The importance of frontier energy resources has come to the forefront in recent years, spurred by an increasing demand for a secure domestic supply of oil and natural gas. This special session will focus on the energy resources and hydrocarbon potential of Phanerozoic sedimentary basins North of Sixty, including those in the following exploration regions: Beaufort-Mackenzie, Interior Plains, Mackenzie Arc, Northern Yukon, Selwyn-Cordilleran, and Arctic Islands. We invite presentations that address energy resources and development, or related geological studies in these northern sedimentary basins.
