The Minerals & Bedrock Mapping group at the Northwest Territories Geoscience Office delivers a program that is largely field based and includes regional bedrock mapping and research related to metals, emeralds, diamonds and alkaline rocks. In addition, the program supports a number of studies that are integrated with our projects, such as geochemistry, igneous/metamorphic petrology, and isotope studies. These studies are generally carried out through partnerships with universities or the Geological Survey of Canada.
